Teaching the history of Rock and Roll, by way of The Beatles catalog, has provided students the opportunity to explore The Beatles from musical, cultural, historical, technological, and critical angles. Students understand them in context, examining their assorted confluences and wide influences. Studying The Beatles music helps understand them as artists, innovators, and public personalities. Learning to play their music will provide a broader, deeper, and more personal understanding of the group’s enduring appeal.
